July 10th
untitled-design-1In the year 1856, on this day Nikola Tesla, Serbian-American physicist, was born in Smiljan, Austrian Empire (now Croatia). He was an inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system and the Tesla Coil. This day is also celebrated as the Nicola Tesla day.

July 11th
untitled-design-4On this day in 2006, the queen city of India was under a terror attack known as the Mumbai train bombings. The July 11, 2006 Mumbai train bombings were a series of seven bomb blasts that took place over a period of 11 minutes on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra and the nation’s financial capital. The bombs were set off in pressure cookers on trains plying the Western line of the Suburban Railway network. 209 people were killed and over 700 were injured.

July 12th
untitled-design-5On this day in the year 2012, the International Olympic Committee confirmed that Saudi Arabia would send two female athletes, Sarah Attar for the women’s 800m and Wodjan Ali Seraj Abdulrahim Shahrkhani for judo, to the London 2012 Summer Games. The inclusion of Saudi women in the games would mark the first time in the history of the games that there would be a female athlete from every competing country.

July 13th
untitled-design-7We all know who Julius Caesar is. We all remember the Character from our English textbooks back from the school. It was on this day in the year 100 BC (approx) that Julius Caesar was born. Julius Caesar rose through the political and military ranks of Republican Rome to become Consul in 59BC, establishing control of Rome by forming the so-called First Triumvirate with Pompey and Crassus. He was assassinated in Rome on the Ides of March by a group of conspirators including Brutus.

June 14th
untitled-design-6Bruce Wayne is the Batman. It is know not a very mysterious fact because of the movie “The Dark Knight”. It was this movie from which Batman made a special place in our hearts. On this day in the year 2008, “The Dark Knight” directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, premiered in New York. How can we forget the very symbolic character played by Heath Ledger as the ‘Joker’.

July 15th
untitled-design-3Now-a-days we can see even the Presidents and Prime Ministers of world powers twitting their thoughts and feelings out to the world. It has become a new-times newspaper and helps in connecting to the whole world and look into the lives of our favourite celebrities. It was on this day in the year 2006 that Twitter created by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams was launched. It is also the day on which the Mozilla Foundation was founded in the year 2013.

July 16th
untitled-design-8On this day in the year 1969, Apollo program: Apollo 11, the first mission to land astronauts on the Moon, is launched from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Kennedy, Florida. Which further became a success as the Mission commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin, both American, landed the lunar module on the moon.
