This Diwali, Rotaract Club of MCM DAV College displayed the true meaning of the festival by spreading light, hope and joy among the children of the slum. The club divided their work in two phases where on one hand they conducted a Cloth Distribution Drive and on the other a Diwali Special Visit. Two teams of the Rotaractors went around the city distributing love and happiness.

For the Cloth Distribution Drive, 18 rotaractors went to 51 slums to hand out some clothes to children and adults. They also distributed sweets and chocolates to the children. Making sure that they spend quality time with people around by singing songs and persuading little kids to join in the celebration, the rotaractors claimed this to be a very joyous moment for them too.

They organized Diya-Making Competition and Rangoli-Making Competition for the children. In order to appreciate their hard-work, prizes were also distributed among the winners. Rangoli colours, stencils, brushes, paints and diyas were also gifted to the children.

The interaction session was made more interesting when children showed their hidden talents like singing, etc. All the Rotaractors made sure that they explain the importance of Green Diwali and safe environment. This little step by the Rotaract Club of MCM DAV College not only brought smile to the faces of the children but also showed us that Diwali is a festival to be celebrated with everyone!
