‘Scitron 2017’, a three-day fest organised by the IT Department of Panjab University, started off with a bang, as a flash mob took over the Student Centre on Tuesday afternoon, March 14th, 2017. This crazy and energetic batch of dancers attracted a huge crowd, as they danced to all the latest foot tapping numbers. As the mob was winding up, the crowd took to the dance floor with the performers and danced their hearts out. Carrying on with the fun, the fest delivered a hot and happening fashion show in the evening of the same day. As the models walked the ramp oozing swagger admist peppy music, the massive crowd cheered on.
The second day of Scitron kick started with the event ‘Ad Mad’ that took place in the Student Centre wherein participants were given a product to market and sell. While some people tested their marketing skills, others were busy showing off their general knowledge in the ‘Quiz‘ event. The quiz consisted of 4 rounds with the questions so formed as to test the scientific and general knowledge of the participants. Fun filled events like ‘Tambola‘ and ‘Word-Chain‘ attracted huge crowds. ‘Futsal‘, too, was organized in the Student Centre with participants forming a six member team to play football.
The main highlight of the day was the concert of Punjabi singer Prabh Gill which attracted students in huge numbers. The jubilant and energetic crowd sang along and danced to his hit songs.
Day 3 of Scitron gave the audience and participants every reason to not miss it, with exciting treasure hunt which made the participants scratch their heads looking for clues. The energetic and excited contestants looked all over the University for their ultimate prize and had a wonderful time.
The fest finally ended with a DJ in the evening where the participants and the organizing committee danced to the groovy beats and had a gala time. It proved to be a memorable night as music flowed under the open sky, among glitz, glamour and applause.
