Living up to it’s promises to deliver the considerate messages of the countrymen to the defence personnel, the team of ‘I Am Still Human’ recently paid a two day visit to an army station to interact and handover the letters to the army.

The first day began with an interaction between the officers and the team of ‘I Am Still Human’ wherein they expressed how close this campaign was to their organisation besides voicing their gratitude and indebtedness to the protectors of their nation. This was followed by a deeply engrossing and inspiring session by the officer in charge.

The most alluring and humbling of all experiences, Bada Khana was organised for team ‘I Am Still Human’. Customarily, Bada Khana is a daawat organised by JCOs in honour of a respected guest or in recognition of great achievements by fellow officers. The celebration started with the team handing over the first set of letters to decorated Indian Army Officer Brigadier N.S Chaarag, Sena Medal followed by appreciating words from him as he lauded the zeal of the organisation and praised the conscious efforts and passion of the youth to understand and stand with the army. He also stressed on the fact how such letters brought by the organisation are motivating and inspiring for the army personnel knowing that the countrymen stand in unison with them. Founder and chairman, Vivek Mehra was immensely grateful to Brigadier N.S Chaarag, Sena Medal and the entry regiment for the enormous love and respect they received over the visit and emphasised as to how inspiring and stirring the visit had been.
1The next day saw the team visit the Sarv Dharm Sthall which had a Temple, Mosque and a Gurdawara all at one place highlighting the spirit of brotherhood and multi culturalism in the Indian Army. Later on the team interacted with war veterans who had served the army and participated in various operations and listened to numerous stories of their glorious days while expressing them their indebtedness for their selfless service over the years as they eventually handed them over the second set of letters. The team then headed towards the Combat Shooting Area wherein they got to have a hands-on experience with various real-life weapons that was both rousing and unlike anything experienced before. Thereafter, the team saw an impeccable and inspirational documentary about the regiment which left a profound impact on them. The trip ended with lunch that witnessed gratification and goodbyes.

‘I Am Still Human’ stresses on the fact that how this visit is the start of the bugger things to come as the campaign moves ahead while they appeal to the general public and youth to join hands so that we as citizens of our nation get united for a stronger nation through their campaign “Let’s Unite For India”.
