There has been no speck of doubt in the fact that the Afro-American duo has led the States and the world towards development, during a mere time span of 8 years. Acting as a support system and complimenting the demeanour and deeds of the American President, Michelle Obama has set benchmarks in terms of sincerity, meticulousness and patriotic fervour.
The farewell speech of the First African American First Lady of the USA completely highlighted her concern for the potent section of the world i.e. the youth, which has the power to trigger the society with its zeal. She highlighted the importance of universal brotherhood in developing the world into a cohesive area.
The heartfelt words of wisdom made every individual standing there realize, that how integral they all are to the country individually and collectively. This sense of belongingness and unity was something that The First Lady wanted to ignite in everyone. She urged every American to prepare themselves to be informed and engaged as a citizen, to serve and to lead, to stand up for their proud American values and to honour them in their daily lives.
Michelle Obama has time and again proved her mettle in terms of having strong opinions and actions in fields of education, medicine, eradicating poverty and in dealing with problems on the international front. She has been the “right hand” of the President through her stoic and independent personality.
As Michelle Obama signed off from the prestigious post of the First Lady in her signature style, those wet eyes silently spoke of the fact that she will be missed.
