“Tere bina guzara,
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil…”
With watching this movie being as difficult as it might be for Ranbir to live without the love of his life; Rest assured, your heart and your brain will definitely thank you for giving this movie a miss!
Of course, this is not an out there bad movie. It’s entertaining enough, being a Karan Johar production after all, with one huge problem: It’s not a movie. Yes, you heard that right.
It’s more of a collection of unreasonably beautiful people living it up in romantic cities (Paris? Check) and sprouting words of wisdom in Urdu for heaven’s sake! The movie is crammed with Bollywood movie dialogue references so much so that the term “Originality” does not apply here.
Anushka Sharma is vivacious as usual and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the elegant ‘shayra’, but the movie only managed to hold through the end because of one person, Ranbir Kapoor. Not only does he look super charming and cute in the film (as always), but his portrayal of heartbreak and frustration actually makes you feel sorry for him. If you want anymore reason to love Ranbir Kapoor, ADHM is the perfect one!
In the end, it is a movie with chart topping songs and talented actors but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of the plot line.
Watch it if you want, but consider yourself warned!
